WolfWood is currently undertaking the biggest rescue in our history. A breeder in Alaska is being prosecuted by the attorney general's office. In thirty days all the animals must be shipped to proper facilities outside of Alaska or be killed. There are currently 9 puppies, under the age of ten weeks, and 30 adults. All live on short chains and have no social interaction with each other. Many are sick.

The good news is that we have agreed to take on the task of rescuing all the pups and at least two adults. The bad news is there is absolutely no help from the owners, the state or the federal government. Time is of the essence. We need to get them out now. One pup has already died and they will soon be evidence in a criminal investigation.

We are looking for concerned and caring businesses, individuals, organizations, schools, groups, families, etc. to sponsor a puppy, and get them to safety. WolfWood rescue will be their new home, and permanent home, where they will get the care they need and be able to live out their life in a pack situation, off of chains. Those of you, who have met Ra and Tala, know what a difference we can make to these animals, and what we will be dealing with. But we need help to do it.

You can sponsor a puppy and save its life for $500.00. This includes a vet check in Alaska, a crate, airfare, and a vet check here. Of course there will be the massive undertaking of enclosure building, continued vet care, spaying and neutering, special food, and other major expenses, but those come later. Our first priority is to get them here and safe from certain death as quickly as possible. Sponsors names will be put on a plaque attached to the puppy pen. They will receive photos and updates of the pup they have sponsored.  And of course, they will have the satisfaction and pride of saving an innocent and beautiful baby from a terrible situation and cruel death.

All donations made to save the Alaskan wolves are tax deductible and will be put in a separate fund to be used exclusively to save and benefit these animals. If you can help, or have questions, please contact us. You can also email us at: wolfwood1995@hotmail.com or visit our website at www.wolfwoodrefuge.org.

Thank you for your time and kindness,
